Help Me Out, Will Ya?

So, I’ve got a little dilemma, yeah?

Perhaps you’ve heard about my 7 ARC contest?

7ARCContest

Did you realize that I never specified how I would award the books? I mean, do I give all the ARCs to one winner? One ARC to each of 7 winners? Or break it up into groupings so that I have maybe 3 winners?

Honestly, what would you do? For real, what would you do?

See that little poll thingy off to the right in my sidebar?

Capture_poll

Let me know what you think by voting, will you?

I’m not coming across as needy and indecisive, am I?

OMG, I am, aren’t I?

I’m normally more put together than this, aren’t I? AREN’T I??

P.S. Did you know that you’re running out of time to enter my 7 ARC contest? As in, the contest ends at midnight EST on August 15? Did you know that you can EARN ADDITIONAL ENTRIES to the contest, too? How awesome is that? I know, right?

  1. You poor dear! Being so generous with your giving and now stuck! For myself, I'd like to say one book to seven winners to better my chances (hehe!) but I figure grouping to three winners is best so you won't have to pay for seven separate shippings! You've done enough for us, silly. :) (Thanks!)

  2. I voted too! I've got to say, the first option is real tempting. More winners is good for me, even if it's only 1 ARC apiece. :) But, the shipping will be super expensive, since your contest is international. I say the grouping is more practical, but I still voted for the 7 winners option. Hehe.

  3. Sigh. I REALLY would like to have the option of winning them ALL for myself. However...the likelihood of winning them all is slim, so I'll content myself with the possibility of winning at least one. =)

  4. I voted for 7 winners! But after reading the comments above, grouping to have 3 or 4 winner would be better for you.

  5. Those Lemurs are going to have their work cut out for them.

  6. I voted for seven winners - I didn't think about the shipping part, but now that I have...I don't think the shipping will be too bad for each book, you can ship book rate and perhaps it will actually be cheaper than sending the one bigger package, but I'm not sure. You can check the shipping on each one and on a group and then decide once you have a general idea about shipping costs - okay, really I don't know what would be best. I wish you luck in the choosing.

  8. I was gonna vote in the poll, but I have trouble with decisions.

On the one hand, I think it'd be fun to have more than one winner. HOWEVER, that will probably really increase the shipping cost for you.

So, I should probably just vote for lemurs and leave it at that, LOL

  9. I voted for just one winner. I think that's what you had said originally right? Plus that'd make it easier for you.

  10. Do what you originally had in mind and/or whatever's easiest for you.

I'm thinking the happy medium of grouping into 3 winners, will make it easier/cheaper on you while still making three people over the moon.

  20. +JMJ+

One very unselfish soul voted to donate the books to the impoverished lemurs of the world. No, it wasn't I! (My vote was for 7 winners, one ARC for each.) But I just found it funny and thought I'd mention it. =P

  21. Where's the button to vote for you talking the publishers into sending the cover model for Torment to Philly for a publicity jaunt (and, naturally, cocktails with yours truly)? Just wondering. You seem to have forgotten to add that one.

See what you can do, huh? :)

  23. I voted. The greedy side of me wants TO WIN ALL OF THE ARC'S. But I am a realistic fella and now I better my odds at 7 winners. Oh well, its a great contest either way!

  24. I don't know if I'm too late or not, but I voted. *fingers crossed and hopes high* :-)

  25. I could be ... um selfish ... and say "I should win all seven books", but I wasn't like that. I was nice and thoughtful and voted on another option.

  26. Tweeted again before time ran out. :) Although I shouldn't have. Means more competition. LOL!!!!

  27. I voted and then returned to look at the results, in which I found out how greedy and selfish I am, ha ha.

    Simon, you crack me up.

  28. Ha ha the #MyPretties hashtag had me cracking up.

  29. I think either grouping or one a piece is best. I voted for one a piece (and let the winners pick - maybe in the order you draw them, or you can email for their preferences and see if the line up somehow?), but I'm cheap so if it were me I'd probably group them to save on shipping :).

Or donate them to impoverished lemurs. Did you know I happen to have an impoverished lemur sanctuary in my backyard? #justsaying

  30. Love #MyPrecious.

I like how on other blogs, the 1st place winner gets 1st dibs, 2nd winner chooses after and so forth... A little more work on your part though.

  31. I'm glad to see that my favorite option (7 winners) is in the lead! I also noticed that you and the lemurs aren't doing so well in the polls. :)

  32. I voted for 3 winners, thinking of my personal situation, I know shipping costs can be pretty hefty, and this way, we still get more chances, but you won't go into the poor house trying to send the winners (hopefully I am one! lol) their prizes. :)

  33. Darn, I missed it! :( I've been dying to read The Duff.

Great contest idea for a giveaway, though. Who doesn't love getting the chance to win and read a book before it hits the shelves? <3
